“A Healthy Start for Babies”
This new campaign seeks to provide a HealthFlash Card for every newborn in America — so they begin life with a Healthy Start. We are securing sponsorship to provide these Cards to newborns’ parents as a free gift from each hospital.
The HealthFlash Card is the smart, easy way for new parents to keep a detailed and organized record of their baby’s medical history – from Day 1. Each Card has:
- a full pediatric section that charts vaccinations, doctor’s visits , allergies and chronic conditions.
- The Card also serves as a digital baby book that can store a copy of a birth certificate, first photos, footprints, weight and length at birth etc.
- The Card is also a potentially life saving device in case of an emergency when a baby-sitter, nanny, relative or day care personnel are taking care of a child.
For sponsors, the campaign is simple:
- We ask for a financial commitment to pre-purchase enough cards to supply at least one hospital’s newborns for a year.
- The donations are based on reliable figures from each hospital.
- We welcome sponsors who are willing to provide every newborn in a community with a HealthFlash Card.
- If tax deductibility is a major issue, we can usually match up a sponsor with a not-for-profit entity (such as a hospital guild) which actually buys the Cards using the sponsor’s donation.
In exchange for this financial commitment to the Healthy Start for Babies Campaign, sponsors will have:
- Their name and/or logo branded onto each Card
- They will support their community
- Gain positive publicity
- Utilize a robust branding tool
The campaign is commencing in August in Tucson, AZ and in the Potsdam , NY area. Approximately 14,000 babies were born in Tucson last year. Roughly 2,500 babies were born in Potsdam and the neighboring towns.
